Wrapped Floer Homology Learning Seminar: Fall 2019

Meetings: Monday 11:30-1 and Friday 12-1 in Evans 959
Format: The seminar meets twice per week. The first meeting consists is a talk, and the second meeting of a discussion/Q&A session. Participants should do the weekly reading twice, before each meeting for that week.

- Learning Seminar Description -

This is the home page for a graduate student seminar on wrapped Floer homology.

The focus this semester is on the three papers of Ganatra-Pardon-Shende on the wrapped Fukaya category of Liouville sectors (and on the wrapped Fukaya category in general). We also hope to discuss (at some length) the background material in homological algebra and wrapped Floer homology.

Wk 2 (9.16-9.20). Liouville Sectors. Read § 2.1-2.8, 2.10 of [GPS1]. Focus on 2.4, 2.8 and 2.10.
Wk 3 (9.23-9.27). Homological Algebra I. A-infinity categories, functors, (bi)modules, Yoneda embedding, Hochschild complex, simple examples. Read § 2.1-2.4,2.7-2.8 in [G1] § 3.1.1-3.1.2 in [GPS1].
Wk 4 (9.30-10.4). Homological Algebra II. Derived Categories, Perf and Localization. Read § 3.1.3 in [GPS1].
Wk 5 (10.7-10.11). Wrapping Category, Wrapped Floer Theory. Read § 3.2-3.6 of [GPS1].
